A new theme was introduced in this seminal martial arts weekend--QBUD, or Quiet Breath Under Duress. Stewart Lauper introduced this heritage of Uncle Bill's and all the teachers.

Stewart, David Ayers, Keith Moffett, Chuck Stahmann, James Painter, Janet Gee, Steve Buck, Bear Roberts and Frank Broadhead continued this theme into their individual teaching sections, especially through free-fighting sections where everybody accepted the challenge of maintaining a calm spirit even as fists were flying. They each found their individual power curves to make this possible. A lot of friendship, training games and hard action are packed into this volume.
